- Customer: The person owning the property that has use of the sewer system.
Customer Classifications
The document categorizes customers into two main groups:
Domestic Customers Includes residences and housing units such as:
- Single-family homes.
- Buildings in a common enclosure occupied by one family.
- Sides of double houses or units in row houses occupied by separate families.
- Individual apartments in buildings where each unit is metered individually.
- Parts of a house occupied by one family, even if fixtures are shared.
- Apartment or housing complexes served by a single tap and master meter.
Commercial Customers Includes businesses such as:
- Stores, garages, and gas stations.
- Barber shops, beauty shops, clubs, restaurants, and theaters.
- Business offices, professional offices, and banks.
Enforcement and Penalties
The resolution addresses issues related to Infiltration and Inflow (I&I), noting that it creates public health hazards and violates regulations.
- Disconnection: The Authority reserves the right to discontinue water and/or sanitary sewer service at its sole discretion for any violation of these regulations.
- Costs: The customer is responsible for all costs associated with terminating and restoring service.
