Winter Weather & Snow Removal Snow Emergencies: Declared by the Mayor at 8:00 am or 8:00 pm. Parking: Odd/even parking rules apply only during emergencies (Odd on AM, Even on PM). Violators will be towed at their own expense. Sidewalks: Property owners must clear snow within 24 hours of the end of a snow event. Sledding: Spruce Street (between Bella and Bell) is closed for sledding during heavy snowfall. "Double Dips" are closed between 8 am and 10 pm only. Personnel & Hiring New Borough Secretary: Sara Williams has been hired and will also serve as Right to Know Officer, Assistant to the Borough Manager, and Web Administrator. Help Wanted: The Borough is seeking an Administrative Clerk for the Department of Community Development. Requirements include a High School diploma, 40 wpm typing speed, and Microsoft Office knowledge. Library News (February 2026) Hours: Mon-Thu 9:30-8:00; Fri-Sat 9:30-5:00; Sun 1:00-5:00. Closures: Closed on Sundays (Feb 1, 8, 15) and Presidents Day (Feb 16). Events: Regular programming includes Storytime, French Lessons, and Twisted Stitchers. Special events include "PAWS to read" (Feb 7) and a visit by local author Cathy Breisacher (Feb 27). Fire Department & Community Fish Frys: The Phoenix Volunteer Fire Department is hosting weekly fish frys from Feb 13 to April 3 (4-7 pm) at 206 Wayne Street. Cost is $15 per meal.
