Tyrone Borough Council Meeting Agenda

Date: June 8, 2026 Time: 7:00 PM

Opening Procedures

The meeting will begin with an invocation by Bill Ewing of Calvary Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council will then call the meeting to order and conduct a roll call.

Public Comment

Residents are invited to speak during the public comment section. The following individuals have been scheduled to address the Council:

  • Jeremy Mountz (1411 Bald Eagle Ave)
  • Peter Gardella (Tyrone Food Bank)

Administrative Reports & Approvals

The Council will review and vote on the following items:

  • Approval of Minutes: For the meeting held on May 11, 2026.
  • Approval of Financials: For the period ending May 31, 2026.
  • Borough Manager’s Monthly Report: This report includes several sub-items for discussion and potential action:
    • Motion to approve AFP1 – Mitchell Contracting.
    • Discussion regarding the donation of a former K9 vehicle.
    • Discussion and/or approval of TIG Requests for "Lights in the Park. "
    • Discussion and/or approval of amendments to Reservoir Park Rules & Regulations.
    • Council consensus on Reservoir Park Renovations.
    • Discussion regarding the Rental Inspection Program.

Solicitor Updates (Tab 5)

The Council will review several legal documents and resolutions:

  • Ordinance No. 1500: Ratification of the Revised Compensation Ordinance.
  • Ordinance No. 1501: Revised Fee Ordinance.
  • Resolution No. 2026-06: CDBG Modification.
  • Resolution No. 2026-07: Public Comment.
  • Resolution No. 2026-08: Blair County Hazard Vulnerability Assessment & Mitigation Plan Update.

Departmental Reports

The following department heads will present their reports:

  • Consulting Engineer Report (Tab 6): Includes a motion to approve the WWTP Headworks Analysis.
  • Code Enforcement Report (Tab 7)
  • Police Department Report (Tab 8)
  • Sewer Department Report (Tab 9)
  • Water Department Report (Tab 10)
  • Highway Department Report (Tab 11)

The meeting will conclude with adjournment.
