Talent Bank Application

Overview

The City of Altoona is accepting applications for its Talent Bank, a registry of residents interested in serving on various city authorities, boards, and commissions. This application allows citizens to express interest in specific groups and remain on file for potential appointments.

Application Requirements

To apply, residents must complete the form and return it to the City Clerk’s Office via email or postal mail. The following information is required:

• Personal Details: Name, address, city, state, zip code, home/work/cell phone numbers, and email.
• Background: Employment, occupation, education, professional/community activities, special interests, and references.
• Selection: Applicants must check the specific Authorities/Boards/Commissions they are interested in joining.

• Blighted Property Review Committee*: 3rd Thursday of each month at 3:30 P. M.

• Civil Service Board**: 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2:00 P. M.
• Redevelopment Authority of Altoona*: 3rd Friday of each month at 9:00 A. M.
• Shade Tree Commission*: To be determined (between 8:30 A. M. & 4:30 P. M. ).
• Zoning Hearing Board*: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:15 P. M.
