Meeting Overview The Duncansville Borough Council met on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 7:00 P. M. in the Duncansville Borough Building. Attendance: Present: Eric Fritz (Mayor), Annette Lewis (President), Jeffrey Lynn (Vice President), Cynthia Blontz (Pro Tem), and Nicole Estep. Absent: Dave Shaw. Key Updates & Reports Mayor’s Report Volunteer PTO: The Council approved a motion to amend the employee handbook. Employees will now be allowed 6 additional volunteer PTO days per year, in addition to their regular time, subject to supervisor approval. Community Center: Mayor Fritz reported on the grant package for Phase 2 of the Community Center project. He proposed that after operating expenses are met, approximately $6,500. 00 per year in rental profits be returned to the fire department. Buildings & Grounds Ordinance Signed: Chief Estep presented a DCED ordinance increasing the borough's indebtedness by $350,000. 00 for Phase 1 of the Community Center Project. The Council voted unanimously to authorize the Mayor and President to sign it. Streets & Equipment Paving Project: Chief Estep announced the 2024 paving project is ready for bidding. The Council voted unanimously to advertise the project. Unfinished Business ISC Representative: The Council voted unanimously to appoint Rod Estep as the borough representative for the ISC. Executive Session The Council went into executive session at 7:50 P. M. for personnel reasons and reconvened at 7:55 P. M. Next Meeting The next meeting is scheduled for April 8, 2024 .
