Overview This document is an application form for the City of Altoona Code Appeals Board. It allows residents or property owners to formally appeal a decision made by the Code Official regarding building, plumbing, fire prevention, or other municipal codes. How to File an Appeal To submit a valid appeal, applicants must adhere to the following requirements: Copies: You must prepare and deliver six (6) copies of the completed form. Fee: A fee of $500. 00 must be included with the submission. Supporting Documents: The application must be accompanied by six (6) copies of construction documents. These documents must demonstrate the quality of materials and conformity to the building code, or substantiate a variance from the provisions. Submission: All materials must be delivered to the Office of the Department of Codes and Inspections. Required Information The application form requires the following details to be filled out: Code Reference: Check the specific code being appealed (e. g. , International Building Code, Plumbing Code, Fire Prevention Code). Applicant Details: Name of the person making the application and the date it was filed. Property Location: The specific address of the property affected by the decision.
