Hollidaysburg Sewer Authority Meeting Minutes (August 8, 2022) The Hollidaysburg Sewer Authority held its regular meeting on August 8, 2022, at 5:00 PM in the Borough Council Chambers. Chairman Regis Nale presided over the session. Attendees Present: James Burke, James Fitch, Carol Gale Also in attendance: Frank Hicks, Jr. (Director of Wastewater Operations), Jim Gehret (Borough Manager), Jessica Oswald (Recording Secretary) Key Decisions and Actions Minutes Approval A motion to accept the July 11, 2022 meeting minutes was made by Mr. Burke and seconded by Mr. Fitch. The motion passed unanimously. Reports Engineer’s Report: No new items reported. Treasurer’s Report: Mr. Gehret had no additional information beyond what was in the agenda packet. Management Report: Mr. Hicks highlighted the Nitrogen Credit Sales Agreement for Lancaster Area Sewer Authority, included in the agenda packets. Public Comments and Petitions No public comments were received. Unfinished Business None to discuss. New Business Resolution S-2022-08A Topic: Approving/Denying a Request for 1100 Blair Street to Deduct Sewer Charges for Excess Usage Decision: The Authority voted unanimously to deny the request to credit sewer charges for excess usage at 1100 Blair Street. Motion made by Mr. Burke, seconded by Ms. Gale. Resolution S-2022-8B Topic: Approving and authorizing payment of expenses and requisitions Approved Payments: Hollidaysburg Area Sewer Authority: $159,230. 75 Paid Invoices: $346,564. 35 Jessica Oswald, Recording Secretary (reimbursement): $50. 00 Motion made by Mr. Burke, seconded by Ms. Gale. Passed unanimously. Additional Discussion Discussed status of legal research regarding basement drains in 100-year flood plains. Correspondence All correspondence was included with the agenda for review. Executive Session No executive session was held.
