Hollidaysburg Sewer Authority Meeting Summary Date: April 11, 2022 Time: 5:00 PM – 5:32 PM Location: Borough Council Chambers, Hollidaysburg, PA Chairman: Regis Nale Recording Secretary: Jessica Oswald Attendees Authority Members Present: James Burke, James Fitch, Carol Gale, Ralph Miller Also in Attendance: Frank Hicks, Jr. , Director of Wastewater Operations Jim Gehret, Borough Manager Jessica Oswald, Recording Secretary Meeting Proceedings Opening Called to order at 5:00 PM by Chairman Regis Nale. Pledge of Allegiance led the meeting. Minutes Approval Motion to accept March 14, 2022 minutes made by Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Fitch → Passed unanimously . Reports Engineer’s Report: Nothing to report. Treasurer’s Report (Jim Gehret): Mailed water and sewer bills will look different for a few months until new supplier materials arrive. Management Report: Agenda packet provided for review. Mr. Hicks noted an article for authority information. Update on properties left to be brought into compliance in Phase I and II project areas. Public Comments & Petitions No public comments received. Unfinished Business None to discuss. New Business Resolution S-2022-04A Topic: Deny request from 421 Wayne Street to deduct sewer charges for excess usage. Decision: Staff confirmed excess water entered and was treated. Motion to deny credit made by Mr. Fitch, seconded by Ms. Gale → Passed unanimously . Resolution S-2022-04B Topic: Approve Treatment Capacity Assurance Statement for Hummingbird Daycare Facility (Blair Township, Blair County, PA). Decision: Staff confirmed sufficient capacity exists. Motion to approve made by Mr. Burke, seconded by Mr. Miller → Passed unanimously . Resolution S-2022-04C Topic: Approve Engineering Services Agreement with EADS Group for Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project – Phase III. Decision: Motion to approve made by Ms. Gale, seconded by Mr. Burke → Passed unanimously . Resolution S-2022-04D – Payment Approvals Approved payments totaling: Hollidaysburg Area Sewer Authority: $302,756. 97 Paid Invoices: $258,417. 27 Jessica Oswald (Recording Secretary): $50. 00 → Motion passed unanimously after no objections. Additional Discussion Topics Responsibility for laterals from curb to house in Phase III. Ownership of storm sewer. MS4 program updates.
