Adjourned at 5:10 PM. Presided over by President Joseph A. Pompa. Attendees: Present: Council Members: Joseph A. Pompa, Jeffrey Ketner, Brady Leahey, James Mielnik, Sean Burke Also participating: Borough Manager James Gehret, Sergeant Richard Oldham, Mayor Dodson Absent: Michele Baker and Walter Kalista, III Key Actions & Discussions: Pledge of Allegiance Led by President Pompa, followed by a moment of silence. Public Comment Steve Albright (421 Bedford Street) spoke: Thanked police officers for their service. Suggested the Borough should hire more than one officer at this time. Hiring of Police Officer Motion made by Mr. Leahey to accept the Civil Service list of Certified Police Officer Candidates — seconded by Mr. Ketner; all five council members voted in favor. After discussion, Mr. Leahey moved to hire Michael Faussette — cited as having the most job experience among candidates. Seconded by Mr. Burke. Motion passed unanimously: 5 votes in favor, 0 against.
