Overview This report covers the drinking water quality for the Duncansville Municipal Authority (PWSID: 4070012) for the calendar year January 1 to December 31, 2017 . Water Sources Primary Source: Groundwater well located north of the Borough of Duncansville. Emergency Connections: Two connections to the Altoona Water Authority’s municipal system (one near the Duncansville supply well, one in Allegheny Township). Contaminant Monitoring Results The Authority reports no violations of Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL) for the period. Chemical Contaminants Barium: Detected at 0. 0438 ppm (MCL: 2 ppm). Nitrate: Detected at 1. 84 ppm (MCL: 10 ppm). TTHMs (Total Trihalomethanes): Detected at 5. 07 ppb (MCL: 80 ppb). Chlorine: Detected at 0. 79 ppm (MRDL: 4 ppm). Haloacetic acids(5): Detected at 6. 43 ppb (MCL: 60 ppb). Fluoride: Not added to the water. Lead and Copper Lead: 90th Percentile Value was 0 ppb (Action Level: 15 ppb).
