Lakemont Park

Lakemont Park, located in Altoona Pennsylvania, has been a center of community activity since it opened as a trolley park in 1894. It is the home of the world’s oldest surviving wooden rollercoaster, the Leap- The-Dips, which was added to the list of National Historic Landmarks in 1996 by the National Park Service. The park hosts a state-recognized holiday light show, Holiday Lights on the Lake, from mid- November to January.
